People's Mural of Columbus Celebration

Be part of an unforgettable day of Black literary arts.


Columbus Libraries will host a celebration of Black literary arts with live readings, DJ, family art activities, free sweets, and a free book fair featuring authors of color.

Free book fair author readings: Dr. Carlotta Penn, Debbie Rigaud, Paula Johnson Neal, and Vada Azeem.

  • Literary creator readings & performances: Hanif Abdurraqib, Barbara Fant, Illogic, Scott Woods, and more to be announced.

  • Music: DJ Krate Digga

  • Art Activities: Maroon Arts Group

  • Free treats: Too Good Eats

  • Free book fair: Cbus Libraries in partnership with area independent bookstores
